What the law requires
General information on the main obligations and deadlines:
- Declaration form 1 (data on insured persons) and declaration form 6 (contributions and tax due) are filed with the National Revenue Agency (NRA) by the 25th of the month after the month they relate to.
- Social security contributions and the income tax withheld from salaries are paid by the 25th of the following month.
- A notice under Art. 62(5) of the Labour Code is filed with the NRA within 3 days of signing or amending an employment contract and before the employee starts work, and within 7 days of a termination.
- Payroll records are kept for 50 years.
